The genus Curio was established in 1997. Curio has 15 species in the genus all of which were previously placed in the genus Senecio. Popular for the different colours and many shapes of their foliage which provide fantastic contrasts in the succulent garden. Most are also very drought tolerant plants. All the ‘string’ varieties also grow very well indoors and their wonderful leaf shapes have a fascinating appeal. Curio are a great choice for beginners to the world of succulents.
