KIDDIES Easter Succulent Garden
Introduction
A fun easter project to create with your children. Introduce them to the wonderful world of gardening. Get creative and most of all have loads of fun together.

What you will need:
- Suitable basket for container
- Plastic to line container
- Quality succulent/cacti potting soil
- Selection of succulents
- Piece of driftwood
- Pebbles and moss or
- decorative top dressing of choice
- Selection of figurines

Step 1:
Line basket with plastic to protect the basket. Staple to sides of basket. Make a few drainage holes in the base for drainage. It is important to ensure that your container has drainage and does not become waterlogged.
Fill with good quality potting soil.
Most garden centres sell a potting mixture especially suited for succulents/cacti.
Alternatively, you can make your own by using:
- 3 parts good quality potting soil
- 2 parts fine pool filter sand
- 1 part perlite.
Mix together well before filling your container.

Step 2:
Position driftwood and select and arrange the succulents.

Step 3:
Carefully transplant the plants into their respective spots.

Step 4:
Top dress potting soil with gravel, moss, small bark chips or top dressing of your choice.
Arrange and place figurines.

Step 5:
Water lightly to settle in.
Maintenance:
To prolong the life of the basket we recommend a light watering of the garden.
The garden should then dry out more quickly and would therefore need slightly more frequent waterings.
